Present position: Judge, trainer, and traineeship coordinator and mentor

Years within the firm: Judge since 1993.

Key qualifications: a Law Judge since 1993 with experience in several areas (criminal, civil, family, employment, law). Moreover, I have important experience in criminal law and criminal court, being responsible for jurisdictional functions concerning investigations in the field of terrorist crime, drug trafficking, money laundering, corruption, economic and financial crimes, both at the national and international level. Also in the training area, I have been working with the Portuguese Centre for Judicial Studies since 2006, and I have been a Judge mentor for Judges from foreign developing countries, having international experience in Asia and Africa countries, namely East-Timor and Guinea-Bissau. In the first case, participating in a United Nations programme for reinforcement of the judicial system and, in the second, in an European Union funded project aiming the reinforcement of State of Law. In East-Timor, I was Interim President of the Court of Appeal.
